It originated with a simple idea to meet up and spend a few days together at the beach. Four friends brought together thanks to their kids frequenting the same primary school but who were now living in three different countries.
We rarely get to see each other and the last time all four of us managed to be in the same place at the same time was 2010!
So Ibiza it was. We spent four wonderful days hiking along the coastal area, shopping at hippie markets, exploring the old town, browsing through fashionable boutiques, lounging on the beach, sipping cocktails while watching the sunset and enjoying the freshest local fish dishes.
We laughed a lot, we shared our thoughts and worries, we listened to our stories, we gossiped, we teased eachother and we took LOTS of selfies!
However, it won’t be the selfies that will remain but the lovely feeling of friendship and knowing that no matter how far away we live and how little we see eachother we have a bond that has lastest throughout time and distance and even though our kids have not kept in touch, WE have already planned our next weekend in 2019!
For I am lucky to call these ladies my friends and have come to realize that like with wine it is the aging that makes the good ones stand out!
