Hitting the ground running...

Gosh, this has been a flying start to the new school year. We hardly managed to touch the floor and the entire family was charging full speed ahead the minute we hit Paris.

Orientation and Open days at school, meeting new students, studying the new schedules, organising extra-curricular actives (ooops, there goes another cheque?!?). Coffee mornings and Welcome workshops for the parents to catch up with old friends and meet new families.

And then there are the evening events. Somehow, this year the December gala frenzy seems to have hit us in September. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, it has just been a sudden change in speed and ambiance. Ten days ago I was still hanging around at 40°C sipping "tinto de verano" in Spain.

A magical night at the palace

Ceremony for the French National Oder of Merit received by a family friend

Gala soirée for a children's charity organised by F1 pilot Romain Grosjean

Launch of a new fashion brand ... the best part was the fuchsia entrance bracelet

On Avenue Montaigne the most chic fashion boutiques in Paris
opened their doors to celebrate the Vendanges

Birthday dinner at Castel's, a fashionable supper club since the 70s with retro cool feel and still a Paris nightlife institution

Heading home... exhausted!
